I help companies unlock growth they didn’t know they were leaving behind.
I’m Eric Svenson — marketing strategist, fractional CMO, and founder of Catalyst Marketing Strategy. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of consumer behavior, digital innovation, and growth strategy, helping brands navigate the moments when marketing has to evolve or brands get left behind.
My career has taken me from building ecommerce and digital marketing strategies for Fortune 500 brands like Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, General Mills, and The Kroger Co., to leading a 30-person marketing team at The E.W. Scripps Company where I drove audience growth across 60+ TV stations and 10 national networks. Along the way I’ve also operated on the agency side, leading digital strategy at Rockfish Interactive where I co-authored and presented research on the future of shopper marketing long before terms like “agentic commerce” entered the conversation.
What I bring that most consultants can’t: I’ve done this work from both sides of the table — as an in-house marketing leader accountable to a P&L, and as a strategic partner helping clients see around corners. I know what it takes to build and scale marketing teams, run complex multichannel campaigns, and make decisions under pressure with incomplete information.
